Ringling College of Art and Design is a wonderful location for an exhibition of this nature; scanning the pages of their college website, I came across a marvellous description of the community:
“In today’s world, it is possible for one person to make a difference on a global scale – through design. Based on socially-conscious principles, our students become professionals with not only a set of skills, but also the ability to change the very nature of their chosen profession. Learn how disparate lines of inquiry interface as participants seek to address society’s growing concern about the quality of life. Discover how you can provide future generations with an enhanced lifestyle through socially conscious design principles.”
